IICA is the international organization of the Americas specializing in agriculture and rural well-being. It is the only agency of the Inter-American System focused on those areas that provides technical cooperation, innovation and specialized knowledge to promote the competitive and sustainable development of agriculture in the Americas and the improvement of the life of rural inhabitants in its member countries. The Institute provides local regional and international training/capacity building workshops in agricultural related activities such as; project management, corporate management, mentorship for agricultural groups (youth, women, farmers, processors).
We are the driving force for sustainable business and community prosperity in St. Lucia. Our mission is to foster business growth and development by providing strong leadership, effective advocacy and relevant services to our membership which they can leverage in their communities.
Sandals foundation seeks to give back by assisting in community development, education and environmental issues. They ensure that education opportunities are afforded to all the members of society to ensure that their full potential is met. Through the offering of scholarships, book drives and literacy programmes, adopted schools, support new libraries and computer facilities.
SLAFY’s primary purpose is to advocate for opportunities for youth in Agriculture. Assistance is given to interested members in developing business ideas and/or undertaking agricultural development initiatives.
The Global Environment Facility (GEF) was established on the eve of the 1992 Rio Earth Summit to help tackle our planet’s most pressing environmental problems. Since then, the GEF has provided close to $20.5 billion in grants and mobilized an additional $112 billion in co-financing for more than 4,800 projects in 170 countries. Through its Small Grants Programme, the GEF has provided support to nearly 24,000 civil society and community initiatives in 133 countries.
